Bishops Meadow

Parkland on the banks of the river Wye, near the Cathedral.  Includes a play area, tennis courts & putting green.  The Victoria bridge gives access to the Castle Green & Castle Pool

The pool is a great place to watch & feed the ducks (grain only).  The Green is home to the bowling green.  It's a great place to have a picnic & run around.  The Friends of Castle Green arrange several events throughout the year

Coming out of Hereford on the Ledbury Rd, turn left down the slip road opposite the Cock of Tupsley pub.  Beautiful ancient hay meadow & pasture that runs alongside the river Lugg

Wyevale Wood

Between Breinton & Kings Acre Rd. Hereford  

 

Leaving Hereford on the Brecon Rd (A438) turn left to Breinton (after Wyevale Garden Centre).  Turn down Green Lane which is the next left.  A lovely place for watching birds and walking amongst the huge old oak trees

From Hereford, take the A49 north towards Leominster.  Follow the brown signs for Queenswood at the top of Dinmore Hill
