Art in the Garden

Join us for a morning of creative play and art. Fun with paint and clay producing some wonderful pieces for you to take home or display at our centre. Indoors, if weather is awful. Lunch provided.

 

3rd July

Widemarsh Family Day  -  Garden Party

Lots of mums have commented how much we spoil the Dads on these Saturdays! So we have planned a day for the whole family to enjoy.

 All welcome. Special lunch provided.

 

7th August

A walk in the Woods

A chance to explore our wooded area, hunt for mini beasts den making and enjoy a story. Long trousers and wellies would be a good,idea just in case. Also Forest School information and how this will be part of outdoor space. Lunch provided.

 

 

4th September

Music and Dance

Come and join in with our Funky Music and Dance session led by The Music Pool’s Jenny Goddard. Followed by lunch.

 

Our popular Soft Play equipment will be available at some of the events.

 

Descriptions of Groups and Activities at Widemarsh Children’s Centre

“Widemarsh Children’s Centre

has lots of space for families to enjoy: there’s a fantastic light, airy playroom specially designed for under-5s

with lots of top quality equipment and spaces for messy play,

eating together, climbing and outdoor play.

There’s also a big hall with lots of soft play equipment,

a large kitchen for parents to get stuck into with or without their kids,

plus a couple of little kitchenettes making many of the spacious rooms self-contained.”

Stay & Play

At these groups’ adults and children have the opportunity to meet people joining in with activities such as messy play, songs and music, creating artwork with modelling clay, paints, junk modelling and joining in with outdoor activities.

This Stay & Play group is based at Trinity Church Hall on

Childminders’ Stay & Play

This Stay & Play group is run by local Childminders. All families are welcome.

 

Soft Play

A chance for your child to develop their skills in a soft and safe environment, learning first steps, climbing and jumping and socialising with others.

 

Sensory Play

For babies under 1 to explore our beautiful sensory room.

 

Under 2’s Soft Play

This group is based for smaller children and babies to have the space and freedom to explore the Soft Play and Sensory equipment.

 

Sing & Sign Together

Action songs and rhymes for toddlers + An introduction to simple signing.

 

Baby Bounce

Baby Bounce is a sing along, rhyme and action session for 6 —12months. Great start to building communication skills and confidence at a very young age.

 

Parent Craft Group

Celebrating special events such as Valentines Day, Easter and Christmas parents can develop their creative skills along side friends and enjoy sharing ideas. Crèche available. Please ask for details of the next event.

First Aid Course

The result is a comprehensive course that embraces all the essentials for any paediatric carer whilst being sympathetic to provider’s and parent’s concerns by delivering in a memorable yet relaxed, informal manner. A crèche is available.

 

Baby Massage Course

Learn how to massage your baby, a skill that promotes bonding, intimacy and wellbeing. Ideal for babies up to 6 months. A crèche is available if you have other children.

 

Let’s Talk Course

Run by local speech and language therapists Let’s Talk aims to help parents and speech and language therapists share the same information and promote the communication skills of young children. Crèche available.

 

Willow Café & Internet Access

Come along to newly opened Willow Café. Please see timetable for opening times. FREE internet access is also available. Please ask at Widemarsh Children’s Centre Reception.

 

Family Support

Come along to our Drop In Session and speak to a member of our Family Support Team.
